An elegant entrance for the bride starts with classy and dramatic wedding aisle decorations. On this page you'll find photos and ideas featuring a variety of ways you could decorate this special runway for the bride.
I've included pictures featuring some church and chapel wedding aisle decorations, along with several photos featuring outdoor and beach locations.
When working out your decorating plans (and budget), keep in mind that aisle accents can include wedding aisle runners, scattered flower petals, pew markers, tulle trimmings, flower arrangements, and even balloon creations.
And at the end of the aisle is the wedding altar - where the entire marriage ceremony takes place. Remember, this area may also need a few decorating accents.

Simple and elegant. What an easy way to create a classical look without breaking the budget!
A plain white aisle runner covers the carpet and a scattering of pink and white rose petals highlight the edge of the runner next to the pews.
White tulle is swagged between the pews and secured periodically with big white tulle bows with long tails.
All you need to do is substitute the flower petals for ones that suit your color scheme. Eliminate the runner and you have very cost-effective wedding aisle decorations. Add some "pop" to the decor by using colored tulle pew bows.

This picture is from a church decorated for a Catholic wedding.
Yellow and white flowers are entwined with ribbon bows as the church pew decorations.
The altar area at the end carries on the flower/color scheme by using large flower arrangements positioned at the bottom of the stairs, to each side of the altar, and on large columns at the back.
This is a beautiful and sophisticated way to decorate for a wedding, although certainly much more expensive.

Here's a great example of using lots of floral greenery in your decor rather than huge arrangements of colorful flowers.
The arrangements shown are very elegant in their simplicity and the predominant green of the ferns provides the perfect backdrop for the simple beauty of the white calla lilies.
So often we think more flowers is better, but using greenery instead to enhance our aisle decorations is also a wonderful alternative!

This picture shows an outdoor wedding with a mixture of red and pale green accents. It's a good example of how to set up pew markers using chairs instead of church pews.
Red rose petals are scattered on either side of the "aisle" and rose ball bouquets are hung along the back edges of each of the white chairs.
Roses are a good flower choice to use for this type of arrangement as their stems are sturdy and they make nicely shaped "balls". Just choose two colors that work well together and scatter a similar color of rose petal along the ground.

Now, how's this for a unique and awesome idea when it comes to wedding aisle decorations?
Rather than creating pew decorations from bows, ribbons and/or flowers as is traditionally done, this couple chose an Asian flair for their decor and used pink umbrellas for decorating their wedding aisle!
Scattered pink rose petals line the walk, pulling this very simplistic accent scheme together.

Here's another unique idea to consider. A few small flower arrangements sit on pillars lining the aisle, but the main pew markers are the decorated outer chairs!
Chairs are covered in white material and the backs are wrapped in peach tulle and tied into knots. A small spray of pink flowers are inserted into the knots as an accent.
For this beach wedding, a bamboo mat is laid out as the aisle runner and shells line the outer edges of the mat. What a unique concept.
