Lilac wedding.

It was my desire to have a sweetly scented lilac wedding when I married 15 yrs ago.

Imagine a fresh lilac bouquet. Sprigs in your hair. Lilacs of all colors arranged around the ceremony area. Deep purple, light lavender, pinks and white. Whether an indoor or outdoor wedding I think it would be beautiful! And it would smell heavenly.

However... for me.... the lilacs didn't cooperate. We chose a date and I prayed the lilacs would be in bloom. We were about a week too early.

So I had a very nice simple purple bouquet but.... no lilacs.

If you are fairly certain of the dates that lilacs would be in bloom it would be lovely.


Rose's Note: I love lilacs, they're so pretty and sweet smelling (although I could see this being a problem for people with allergies). It's too bad they didn't bloom just a little bit sooner for you. That would have been beautiful!
