Simple Sophistication

The favors add a nice touch in alternating black and white boxes with contrasting ribbon. And take a look at the black goblets... each is filled with white tissue paper and nestled on top is a couple of black candies (looks like jellybeans to me).

White napkins are simply folded in a rectangle shape and secured with a wide black ribbon with a thin white ribbon as additional contrasting detail.

Green has been used as an accent color at this reception, however you could substitute this with your own wedding colors.

In this photo, it looks like pale blue and yellow are the accent colors with a pale blue square table topper adding some punch to the table tops (I could be wrong here - it may be a white topper but the lighting could be casting a blue tinge to it). A simple arrangement of yellow flowers in a clear vase finish off the decor.

This is an ideal setting that could easily be switched out for other wedding colors. For example, if you were having a black and yellow wedding, use a round or square yellow topper, black vase and yellow flowers. Secure the black napkins with a contrasting yellow napkin ring. Now that would be stunning!

Black and White Wedding Ideas With A Splash of Red

This is a lovely setting when it comes to black and white wedding ideas. Perfect for a summer wedding as it has a minimalistic, light and airy decor.

White chairs are used with black chair cover sashes - no need to cover the chairs in white fabric, which saves money.

The white table cover is quaintly accented with a narrow black table runner and a black vase holds the contrasting brilliant red roses.

If you'd like everything to be just black and white with no accenting colors, substitute the red roses for white roses (or a different white flower). For a more dramatic effect, have the tips of the flower petals tinted with a black dye.

If you wish to add a bit more dramatic flair to the table setting, I would suggest scattering some flower petals on the table itself.

Another option would be to tie a black ribbon around the small champagne glasses that hold the favors and perhaps include a black votive holder with a white candle placed in front of each seat.

Quick, easy and inexpensive for the budget conscious couple, this wedding table centerpiece looks elegant, yet is super easy to put together with no fuss.

Buy three different size white pillar candles for each table, wrap some black ribbon around each candle and place on a square mirror. Voila... done!

Here, they've added some greenery with berries, but another nice touch would be black gel beads or flower petals scattered on the surface.
